sa.global is looking for a motivated and skilled D365 Senior Finance Functional Consultant to join our dynamic consulting team in India! You will play a pivotal role in guiding our clients through successful implementations and integrations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), empowering them to optimize their financial processes and achieve enhanced performance.

Main Responsibilities as a Microsoft D365 BC Sr. Finance Functional Consultant

  • Partner with clients to understand their unique business needs and challenges within the finance function through business requirement analysis, consulting, and documentation
  • Analyze and map client requirements to the capabilities of Business Central, designing optimal solutions for their specific goals
  • Evaluate existing financial processes and identify opportunities for improvement through the implementation of Business Central
  • Document requirements and prepare detailed functional specifications for development teams
  • Contribute to project teams through workshops and ERP implementations - Lead the configuration of core Business Central finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Project Management
  • Customize dashboards and reports to generate insightful financial data and facilitate informed decision-making
  • Integrate Business Central with other relevant systems and applications to create a seamless workflow.
  • Manage data conversions and ensure accurate migration of financial information to the new system
  • Train and hand-hold users on new process and BC functionality - Build and deliver comprehensive training programs for users on navigating and using Business Central's finance module functionality
  • Proactively find areas for improvement in client processes and recommend continuous optimization strategies
  • Develop data conversion and testing strategies
  • Knowledge sharing and innovation - Engage in knowledge sharing initiatives within the team, contributing to a collaborative and learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Business Central and the Dynamics 365 ecosystem, actively seeking opportunities to leverage both for the client's benefit
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify potential enhancements to Business Central's finance functionality and contribute to product improvement initiatives
  • Manage individual budget and scope of work
  • Provide pre-go-live and post-go-live end-user support
  • Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing questions, trouble-shooting issues, and offering guidance on optimal usage

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated 5+ years of functional experience working in a finance consultant role with proven success in ERP system implementations, preferably NAV/BC
  • In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles including GAAP and IFRS
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009/2013/2015/2016 is an added advantage
  • Extensive expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with a focus on financial modules - Additional functional knowledge of the distribution and production granules as well as other areas of functionality such as CRM, Projects, MRP, and WMS
  • Experience with core business processes such as accounting, distribution, and manufacturing
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of core Microsoft D365 Business Central modules
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to clients with diverse technical backgrounds
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and solutions
  • Basic Microsoft SQL Server understanding is an added advantage
  • Ability to create high quality functional documentation and strong requirement gathering skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong emphasis on process improvement
  • Proven hands-on experience with full life-cycle implementations - Should be able to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines effectively
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
  • Bachelor and/or Master degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related fields, with in depth knowledge of Finance concepts
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications strongly preferred
  • Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountants preferred
  • Excellent business communication skills with effective presentation and demonstration skills
  • Ability to lead pre-sales activities, providing expertise in financial modules during client engagements
  • Ability to work independently and guide junior team members - Coordinate to deliver above and beyond commitments
  • Strong learning orientation with regards to new technologies and implementing them
  • Effective collaborator with product teams with the ability to influence the development of finance-related features
  • Ability to understand, communicate on all levels in an organization, and interpret client business processes and requirements
  • Knowledge of process diagrams, flow charts, and Visio is an added advantage
